My Favorite Digital Photography Techniques

There are a lot of different techniques that needs to be learned in photography. The techniques that we are talking about today are symmetry and asymmetry, getting backgrounds right, and the importance of focal points.
Symmetry is a mirror image. One side is the mirror image of the other. Symmetry can appear in any time as long as the image is the same on either side when split in half. This can be used because when your driving for example, the road is split in half so cars can go in one direction and other cars can go in the other direction. This interest me because I didn’t really think about this when I took pictures, but I learned taking symmetrical pictures could be just as pretty and at the same time I’m showing my intelligence.
Asymmetry is the opposite of symmetry. If you take a picture and split it in half and its not equal on both sides, then its asymmetry. This can be used in class. If a digital photography teacher wants to show her class a picture that’s not, symmetry, then he/she can take a picture of asymmetry. This interests me because I now know the name of the pictures that I’ve been taking all long.
You have to get your background right because sometimes your background can be too much and take the focus off the main part in your picture. This can be used in class because you can be used in class because you can pictures and making sure the background is clean and uncomplicated. This technique interests me because I don’t really like seeing pictures with crowded backgrounds. I think the simplest pictures look the best.
Now we’re going to talk about the importance of focal points. Its important when you look at an image your eye will generally need a “ resting place” or something of interest to really hold it. You can enhance the focal point in an image by changing the position, focus, blur, size, color, and shape. This can be used in class because in class you can practice taking a picture of things that are interesting and you can practice simplicity at the same time. This really interests me because I hate looking at pictures that aren’t interesting and nothing catches my attention.
Now you know about my three favorite photography techniques.  You also know why I like these techniques. You know how these techniques are important and how they really help out in taking pictures.
